LA DOLCE VITA! On the hill of Albisano, enthroned above the beautiful Lake Garda, MEISSL Architects presents its new project "Villa Maya".
The picturesque village of Albisano on the eastern shore of Lake Garda - the largest lake in Italy - impresses with its charming flair, narrow streets and breathtaking views. In spring 2023, architect Alexander Meissl and his team from Seefeld completed the "Villa Maya" here - a light-flooded apartment building with six residential units. The two garden apartments and four terrace apartments are built over three floors and open up a wonderful view of Lake Garda. Each of the apartments of the "Villa Maya" has a size of about 80 m² and offers enough space for relaxing pool days and exuberant dinner parties.
"It is always an experience to complete a project in such a wonderful place. The location, the view and the simplicity of the building are perfect prerequisites for a true Recreation Hub," says architect Alexander Meissl about the project.
LESS IS MORE. The interior of the apartments impresses with simple shapes, earthy tones and is reduced to the essentials. The homogeneous seamless floor, which was used in all rooms and on the balcony, expresses itself in a generous effect and appearance. This special trowel finish was also used on the walls in the smaller bathrooms.
SPECIAL HIGHLIGHT.
Refreshing coolness in the cold water, reading on the sun lounger and untouched nature - the community garden with infinity pool invites the residents of "Villa Maya" to slow down and recharge their batteries. The custom-built Rooftop Outdoor Kitchen by Klumaier x Tanner makes the BBQ heart beat faster and is just waiting to be used on warm sunny days for preparing Mediterranean delicacies and Aperol Spritz.
"Our task was to dimension solid, non-rusting stainless steel in such a way that the outdoor cooking station seamlessly integrates into the client's outstanding design. The combination of high-quality stainless steel and a thoughtful design creates an outdoor kitchen that is not only functional, but aesthetically pleasing as well. It was a mission that we enjoyed immensely. We hope that our work will enable many design and enjoyment moments," says Patrick Tanner, Managing Director of Klumaier x Tanner, about the special feature of the outdoor kitchen.
