WE WON!

Our project, the "ÖBB Parkdeck Jenbach", was awarded the BIG SEE Architecture Award 2023 in the category "Public Infrastructure".

"After many awards in the hospitality sector in recent years, we are delighted to have received the BIG SEE Award for one of our infrastructure projects. Even rather unloved building types can be implemented in a sexy way," says architect Gordon Grusdat happily.

Construction of this 450-space building began in 2020 - the parking deck was completed just one year later. On six levels, public transport customers have access to 450 covered car parking spaces including e-charging stations, family and women's parking spaces, parking spaces for people with limited mobility, and a further 155 covered bicycle parking spaces. For an additional 71bicycle enthusiasts, there are parking spaces in the covered outdoor area directly adjacent to the parking deck, where 19 single-track vehicles can also be parked, protected from the weather. The entire area around the parking deck and its buildings is designed to be barrier-free. A green roof and a dissolved aluminum facade lend the large building a certain lightness. Inside, too, the building has been stripped of its classic parking deck character by means of light-colored roadway coatings and colored markings.
