MEISSL ARCHITECTS took over the finalization and construction management of the preliminary design by Matteo Thun & Partners, which was developed between 2012 and 2016, and created - together with him as design director - a luxury hotel that combines upscale amenities with first-class medical care at the highest level. The hotel includes 121 rooms, a spa, wellness and sports area, several gastronomic outlets and a medical function building independent of them.
"Instead of hospital buildings, we encourage a rethink towards healthcare construction. The basic idea for architecture must be that patients concentrate on getting well and that relatives are supported by a pleasant ambience to accompany and help the patient in this process. However, this can only work if an entire homely environment is created," Arch. Alexander Meissl is convinced.
